Vegan Homemade Pizza!!!

Pizza is the best. Pizza is therapy. Pizza is happiness. Pizza is life goals okay? If you don't like pizza I'm calling the police. This is my delicious vegan homemade pizza recipe, really easy and quick to follow literally takes 30 minutes in total!

Pre-heat Oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

You can use your OWN ingredient if you are not doing a vegan pizza.

Get a small frying pan and put a small amount of oil in, let that heat on a medium to high temp.

Then add your vegan meat: I usually use Quorn Mince, Quorn Chicken Pieces.

Then grate your cheese (Morrisons Vegan Cheddar Cheese)

Wash your spinach

And get your sauce (tomato puree) or you can make yours from scratch.

After heating the oil, add your desired amount of Quorn meat, fry it for 10-20 minutes whilst stirring in between.

Once cooked, place to one side.

Yeast Activation:

First, 500ml of warm - hot water in a jug or measuring jug and put 1 and 1/2 table spoons of sugar in the jug.

Then add 7g of fast acting yeast. (one packet) (not heaped table spoon)

Set that aside for like 7-10 minutes and it should become foamy.

Dough:

In a mixing bowl you will need 2 cups (175g) of plain flour. 1/2 table spoon of sugar. 1 tea spoon of salt. 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder (or I use mixed herbs)

Stir together until mixed.

Once the yeast in foamy, add all of it into your mixing bowl and add 2 table spoons of oil and mix well together.

If mixture is too sticky, add more flour.

If mixture is too crumbly, add a dash of water.

Sprinkle flour on your counter top and on a rolling pin (because we are doing it an easier way than throwing it in the air.)

Get your blob of dough and start needing it, then use the rolling pin and roll it out to a desired size.

Get none- sticking or grease proof paper and place on a pizza tray (or any regular tray) and carefully peel your dough from the counter to the tray.

Then you can begin with the toppings, so you can put a blob of your chosen sauce in the middle of the dough and spread around (leaving about an inch from the edges for the crust).

Then grate (if not already grated) your cheese and spread all over (this can be on the crusts if you wish)

Add your green leaves (if you're feeling healthy) and evenly spread over the pizza.

Add your meat, in this case Quorn chicken and Quorn mince, remember to distribute evenly!

Add extra cheese or finish with sauce over the top and place in oven.

Let it cook for roughly 20 minutes depending on how you like your pizza:

  • If you like your pizza solid, overcooked and nearly black = 35+ minutes

  • If you want your pizza your pizza cooked, but still over cooked = 30 minutes

  • If you want your pizza PERFECT, melted cheese, nothing is burnt = 23 minutes

  • If you want it gooey and raw = 3 minutes.

Hope you enjoyed this recipe! It is a fun way to start having typical take-away meals from home because YOU know what does into it, YOU know where the ingredients came from and it is completely customized to YOU. this is also a fun thing to do if you are self-isolating, having friends round, having fun with kids.

As I said before you don't have to use vegan meat or any vegan products you can use your own, but if you are ever thinking of changing dietary restrictions, that doesn't mean you can't enjoy pizza! Until next time...
