Now, doesn't the sound of dewy, glowing soft skin sound perfect? Well, after doing some research and testing the routine on myself too - this IDEAL skincare routine will clear up any little impurities you would like to change! #skincare #skincareroutine #clearskin #modelskincare #modelskincareroutine
What Does It Take To Have Clear Skin?
Well, a lot of factors actually and I want to start off with the most obvious one. Genes. It is genetics to have really good or really bad skin and it is completely not your fault, this routine can help but I highly recommend speaking with a dermatologist regarding improving your routine.
Diet, or the food you eat can make a massive impact on your skin. Eating things high is salt or vinegar, saturated fats and sugar can causes oils to increase and grease can lead to dirty skin blockages.
Drinking water, and I mean plain water. Bottled or tap water, and lots of it. Not only does it have amazing benefits to your skin but your body too (this is ideal for me the day before a photoshoot)
Items I Love To Use
There are extra's to add to your routine every 2-3 times a week just to pamper yourself even more. I love a good facial steamer, I got mine online for like £20 it is perfect for opening pores, refreshing the skin and it is the ideal way to prepare your skin before you begin your routine.
Face rollers, now these are commonly used especially any rose quartz ones, either way they all are amazing. There are many tutorials on how to use one and include it in your routine but I have definitely noticed a change in the definition in my skin but also less puffy my face is in a morning.
Of course, face masks! Now each different mask has it's benefits like black charcoal masks is to deep cleanse, honey masks help with dry skin and some others help with oily skin and moisturising - they are all- round perfect!
1. Cleanser
It is always good to splash out on a good cleanser as it does the majority of the work for your skin. You can include a facial scrub after this too if that is ideal for your skin.
My favourite cleanser at the moment is by The Carbon Theory, it is a black charcoal cleanse soap bar. I first bought this in 2020 when my skin was just a mess and I saw a difference within a week!
2. Toner
A toner is something that washes off the cleanser after it's done it's job but it also gets deeper and exposes your pores.
My favourite toner at the moment is paired with my cleanser by The Carbon Theory and it's a citrus tonic. It burns the skin but makes it feel so clean and refreshing.
3. Serum
A serum contains a lot of nutrients and minerals that when used after toner, can get deep into the skin and actually make huge differences to the skin.
My favourite serum so far is Glow Recipe Avocado Ceramide Redness Relief Serum, I think this works perfectly for my skin as its light.
4. Eye creams
This step isn't for everyone if you don't need it but a good eye cream is important. Whether it's for puffiness, redness or darkness.
My favourite eye serum is True Alchemy Eye Elixir - this has been amazing the night before a photoshoot if I fear I will have dark under eyes in the morning.
5. Moisturiser/ Facial Oil
Knowing your skin type is very important when picking a moisturiser as you don't want something too heavy or have an oil based when you probably shouldn't!
My favourite at the moment is simple Bio Oil. It has been so light on my skin and working really well considering I go to the gym.
6. Spot serum
I love a good spot serum especially to save your life when something important comes up. I think this is definitely a model essential.
My favourite at the moment is by Simple S.O.S spot serum, it is rapid working and works well with my facial oil.
Thank you all so much for reading and I hope you take some notes and maybe freshen up your routine using my guidance!
Until Next Time...
